Job Description:
As a Fertilizer Technician at HEROES Lawn Care, you will be responsible for lawn treatment applications, handling customer concerns and finding the solution to maintain a healthy lawn for the customer. You will be required to work with different treatment plans on several different types of property. Fertilizer Technicians ensure the safety and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our client’s lawn.
Responsibilities of Fertilization Technicians:

• Fertilizer Technicians ensure the safety and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our client’s lawn.
• Production goals-works diligently with the General Manager in obtaining monthly production goals.
• Identification-of insects, weeds, and diseases as it relates to job function and implement appropriate control solutions.
• Communication-able to interact with clients and also branch personnel as to activities as it relates to the clients.
• Equipment and Warehouse-ensures standards of cleanliness are being adhered to daily.
• Responsible for organization of equipment and products in your assigned vehicle
• Ensures proper disposal of all fertilizer residue and containers.
• Safety-responsible for personal, equipment and vehicular safety as it relates to job requirements.
• Provide service to residential customers by making lawn applications, diagnosing, and correcting lawn problems through service calls and other customer communications.
• Perform all functions of the lawn care position with crew members.
• Using herbicides, fertilizer, and other applications for lawn care health
• Follow a daily schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each account
• Measuring the lawn of potential customers to provide with an accurate cost.
• Conducting soil testing
• Providing additional services through aeration, soil amendment, and over seeding

Preferred Qualifications of Fertilization Technicians:

• Pesticide Applicators Licensure
• A lawn care professional with the ability to be highly functional in a team environment, as well as able to perform with minimum supervision and direction.
• Able to diagnose insect and disease issues in the field.
• Reliable transportation
• Open availability
• Reliable and dependable
• Open to training and coachable

Physical Requirements of Fertilization Technicians:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
• Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
• Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice.
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
